Drew Glackin (1963-2008)

Drew Glackin played Livestock in 2006 with Tandy and Eric Ambel. Drew died unexpectedly due to a thyroid condition, which caused him to have heart problems. Drew was a talented musician who played in many bands including the Silos and Tandy to name a few. He played many instruments including bass, guitar, Hawaiian lap guitar, lap steel, mandolin, mandocello, and sang vocals. His spirit and talent will be missed.

Billy Cairns (1955-2008)

Billy Cairns played at Livestock in 2007 with the band, Fourteen Feet. About his drumming; his whole body would sway with the instrument. He was like a blurry, loopy rubber man, dynamically pounding hard and soft hits in perfect time. His playing was a combination of God-given natural talent, superb rhythmic intelligence, and a huge heart.

Billy played on all the tracks of the Fourteen Feet album that was named in tribute to him, Stole Away…”The Billy Sessions”. Prior to joining Fourteen Feet, Billy was well known for his many years of playing with the popular band, The Freelance Vandals. His pride, devotion, and love for his family were at the fore-front of his being. Billy Cairns is sorely missed, and will always be remembered. His spirit and talent will be missed.
